The Blue Nile Dairy Company was established in 1997 and is situated in West Soba, about 15 kilometres south of Khartoum. A subsidiary of DAL Group Ltd, Blue Nile has its own dairy farm and operates a modern processing plant that has been expanded over the years to produce a wide range of dairy products, including pasteurised milk, plain and fruit-flavoured yoghurt, drinking yoghurt, mish and whipping cream.
New products introduced have included a bio-yoghurt that contains a pro-biotic culture to assist the body with nutrient absorption and to aid digestion (a first for Sudan) and long-life milk. Other innovative dairy products are planned for the Sudan market, so keep an eye out for them wherever you buy CAPO products.
