Introduction - 6th African Dairy Conference & Exhibition

The Eastern and Southern Africa Dairy Association (ESADA), the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Rwanda, the Rwanda Conference Committee and Land O'Lakes among other steering committee members are delighted to invite all the dairy stakeholders to the 6th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition to be held in Kigali, Rwanda. The event shall be held from Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 to Friday, May 21st, 2010 at the Serena Hotel Kigali. The event shall be preceded by a farmers' forum on May 18th, 2010 at the same venue.

African Dairy Conference and Exhibition (ADC&E)

The African Dairy Conference and Exhibition is the largest and most comprehensive conglomeration of regional and international dairy stakeholders in Africa. The event provides unrivalled opportunities to interact with industry experts, practitioners, researchers and scholars, financiers, distributors and marketers, world dairy leaders and technology and other inputs suppliers among other stakeholders. Cutting edge technologies, best practices, recent research findings and studies, innovations, animal care, outstanding animal breeds but to mentioned a few are showcased at this auspicious African dairy event.

Building on the successes of the previous 5 editions of the event (in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and South Africa), the 6th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition promises to be an even bigger event. With a view to address competitiveness and sustainability of the region's dairy sector, a conference programme giving due consideration to the different players in different nodes of the value chain has been designed. In excess of 400 delegates are expected to attend the conference excluding over 500 attending the farmers' forum and visitors during the public open day.
