Markus Schlumberger

Managing Director Sales – Ampack GmbH

Since 2012 Markus Schlumberger has been working as “Managing Director Sales” at Ampack GmbH (Germany), which is part of the division “Packaging Technology” of the Robert Bosch GmbH. He has the worldwide responsibility for sales of the filling machines and end-of-line solutions within the dairy industry. Before he has taken over this responsibility, he has been working in the product division “Pharma” of Bosch. One of his assignments was the responsibility as Technical Plant Manager of an assembly plant in Hangzhou (China) for several years. Before becoming the Technical Plant Manager he was responsible to set up a sales network within China for the product division “Pharma” for 3 years, during which time he was stationed in Shanghai.

Markus Schlumberger holds a degree as industrial engineer (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing.), he has been studying in Germany, New Zealand and Malaysia. He is married and has two children.

 

 

Thomas Lee Bauer

Principal Industry Specialist – World Bank Group; IFC (International Finance Corporation)

Before joining the World Bank Group, Thomas Bauer was Head of Food and Agribusiness Research and Advisory team for Rabobank Asia based in Singapore. He also was a dairy and feed commodity trader with Brock Associates and worked in marketing and sales of Monsanto in Indonesia. He a Masters in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from University of San Francisco. He is currently Principle Dairy Industry Specialist at the World Bank International Finance Corporation where he conducts due diligence, business development and advisory for the dairy, farm inputs and beverage sectors. Bauer also overseas Agri Innovation and Tech investment for the IFC. Prior to IFC. Bauer grew up on a family dairy farm in Wisconsin in the USA and continues to manage the farm along with family members.

Jan Bunk

Head of Dairy Applications Sales for the Sub-Saharan Dairy market

Jan Bunk was born in the Netherlands in 1970. After earning a Mechanical degree he started his career his career Mechanical Engineer for spray dryers.
In this function he worked for various projects in China, New Zealand, Philippines and in Europe as well.

In 2012, Jan Bunk Joined GEA Mechanical Equipment in this function Jan Bunk was responsible for the dairy and beverage market in South Africa and East Africa as the market development engineer

In 2017, Jan became Head of Dairy Applications Sales for the Sub-Saharan Dairy market.

Jan is responsible to developing projects and providing technical support on the growing markets, in South Africa and Eastern Africa.

GEA Mechanical Equipment, with over 120 years’ experience in separating process, and is in the market technology leader for Westfalia Separators and decanters, Niro Soavi homogenizers and Tuchenhagen flow components. Also all Westfalia Surge Farm and milking equipment.
